i grew that, i ate that

i can think of few things more gratifying then picking fresh food from your garden and planning a meal around it. thankfully we have a myriad of things that work well together. Yesterday i plucked tomatoes, chives, thyme, sage, parsley, peppers, green beans and rainbow chard for dinner.

thanks to our other handy neighbor Jan for fresh boiled crab that we cracked and treated with meyer lemon juice
deep fried sage leaves with sea salt for bread crumbs
fresh stock made with 8 cloves of garlic, carrot, potato, thyme and parsley
sweet wonderfully crunchy beans right off the vine
minced garlic and fried sage leaves to be sauteed with butter and bread crumbs
chard
well, that i didn't grow but you bet i drank it
parm rind to cube up and add at the end
strain the stock, add in some heavy cream and all the veggies plus crab meat, top with bread crumbs and bake it off.
it looses something by way of color but the taste was perfect for a chilly fall like evening
